The costly problems in development are the ones you didn’t know were coming. Vettex looks ten steps ahead, from feasibility through to practical completion, so they surface while they are still cheap to fix.

Commercial, residential and mixed-use work in Melbourne and on the East Coast, run as principal or as owner's representative.

Real outcomes,not box ticking

Sustainability on a Vettex project is set early, in the design and in the planning case, not bolted on at the end to meet a rating. Done that way it changes what gets approved, what the building costs to run and what it gives back.

  • 57–71 Stephenson Street / Cremorne

Australia’s tallest mass timber office building

Fifteen storeys of cross-laminated timber floors on glulam columns, with low-carbon concrete kept to the basement and ground floor. On completion it is set to be the tallest mass timber office building in Australia and the most sustainable, and those commitments have been part of the case for its height.

  • Hotel Optimismo / Adelaide

32 levels in fully mass timber

Hotel rooms over offices, a restaurant and retail in one mass timber structure from the ground to the roof, set to be the tallest fully mass timber building in Australia and the most sustainable hotel. Vettex provides feasibility services and support to the Finding Infinity team.

  • Matter House / Cremorne

An office building that makes energy

Designed with Hassell and Finding Infinity as a net producer of energy: an on-site digester turns food waste from nearby businesses into power, with the surplus fed to the grid. Room for the digester was part of the case that took the approval from 10 storeys to 13.

Each project,a new benchmark

In Cremorne, each office project Chris has taken on has gone past the benchmark for project yield set before it in the precinct.
